This article is a follow-up to Getting started with the Springcast MCP (Alpha) and helps you set up the Springcast MCP in Notion.
How do you set it up? (Step-by-step)
Follow these steps to link Springcast to the Notion custom agent:
1. Create an API Token
Log in to Springcast PRO and go to your Workspace settings.
Go to the API settings tab.
Create a new API token and make sure to select the scopes "MCP" and "Content API" / "Analytics".
Copy the token and keep it safe!
2. Configure Notion
Open Notion.
Go to Connections -> Manage.
Turn on "Enable custom MCP servers".
Go to Notion AI
Open your custom agent or create a new one
Go to Settings
-
Go to "Tools and access":
Click "+ Add connection"
Click "+ Add custom MCP"
Enter the MCP URL: https://work.springcast.app/mcp
Choose authentication: Bearer token
Prefix: Bearer
Token: enter the token from the first part of the step-by-step guide
Click Connect
Done!
3. Using Springcast MCP
You can now use the Springcast MCP from the custom Notion AI agent. Ask which podcast shows are in your workspace and then request the podcast statistics from the past 14 days.
Or create a new document in Notion with the details of your new podcast episode (title, description, publication date, etc.) and let the Notion custom agent create the episode in Springcast.
