With the introduction of the Springcast MCP, we’re taking a big step toward automating your podcast workflow. Although this feature is currently in the Alpha phase (meaning it's still under active development), you can already connect tools like Claude directly to your Springcast account.
A few important notes beforehand:
Optional use: Using the Springcast MCP is entirely optional.
Data processing: Using the Springcast MCP may result in your data (e.g., when requesting information about your podcast) being processed by providers like ChatGPT or Claude. Depending on your settings and subscription with that provider, this could mean data is processed outside the EU. Please check the privacy settings of your AI tool to ensure they align with your organization’s policies.

What is an MCP?
MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. In plain English: it’s a bridge between an AI (like Claude) and an external app (like Springcast). Thanks to this protocol, the AI can directly retrieve information from your account or perform actions without you having to manually copy and paste data.
What can you do in this first version?
Currently, MCP functionality is disabled by default. Once it has been enabled for your workspace, you can perform the following actions via an AI client:
Content Insights: Ask directly which podcast shows and episodes you have.
View Details: Request specific details about a particular show or episode.
Create New Episodes: You can provide a title, description, and other metadata to create a draft episode.
💡 Important: Directly uploading an audio file or artwork via the MCP is not yet supported. However, you can provide a public URL (e.g., a link to an mp3 file on your Google Drive or Dropbox) which Springcast can then process.
