With Sky AI, you can easily create a transcript of your podcast episode. This feature is included in all subscriptions except the Essential package.
The transcript is automatically generated by AI and forms the basis for much of the content you can create with Sky (such as show notes or a LinkedIn post).
How does it work?
- Automatic transcription: Once you have uploaded an episode, you can create a transcript via Sky. You can find this option in the episode settings in the “Transcription” tab.
- Data processing in Europe: We ensure that transcriptions run exclusively through European servers from AssemblyAI. Once the transcription is complete, the data is deleted from AssemblyAI. The final version is stored securely at Springcast.
Speaker recognition
Sky recognizes different speakers and labels them by default as Speaker 1, Speaker 2, and so on.
- Click on the name (e.g., Speaker 1) at the top of the transcription to change the label (e.g., Presenter or Guest).
- The new labels are immediately visible in the transcript.
- Don't forget to save your changes.
Editing text and timestamps
You can manually improve the transcript:
- Editing text: double-click on a sentence and edit the text as desired.
- Adjusting timestamps: double-click on the time stamp and correct it if necessary.
- Save: always save your changes before leaving the page.
Using the transcript
- In the Springcast Player: the transcript is displayed by default in the Springcast player.
- Download: you can download the transcript as a file so that you can upload it to Spotify or other platforms, for example.
- Basis for AI content: when you generate additional content with Sky AI (e.g., show notes, summaries, or blog articles), Sky uses the transcript as the basis for those texts.
Important to remember
- Transcripts are available in all packages except Essential.
- You can easily edit speakers and text, but don't forget to save your changes.
- The transcript appears in the Springcast player and can also be downloaded.
- Sky AI always uses the transcript of your episode to generate additional content.
Tip: Add labels to the speakers and correct names or technical terms so that Sky also delivers better results when creating additional content.
