In this article, we will show you step by step how to create a podcast show in Springcast PRO. Do you already have an existing podcast with another host? No problem! You can easily import it via the RSS feed.
Before you get started, make sure you are logged into your Springcast PRO account. Once you are logged in, you can follow the steps below.
1. Click on 'Create New Show'
2. Select an available show plan
3. Enter the show title
Choose a title for your show. Are you already hosting the show with another podcast host? Then you can import the RSS feed here. You can read more about moving your podcast here.
Then click on 'Step 2: Settings'
3. Fill in the show details
1. Provide a description of your podcast show. This description is also visible on Spotify, Apple, and other apps. Make sure you start with the core, specify some themes and genres, and tell something about the guests, host, and format.
2. Fill in who the author is.
3. Select a suitable category here. You can add multiple categories later.
4. Select the spoken language in the podcast show here.
5. Enter a public email address. This email address is public in the RSS feed and can be used for verifications or if, for example, Spotify or Apple want to contact you.
6. For Apple podcasts, the copyright field is mandatory. By default (by law), all rights are reserved to the author. So you fill in here: your first and last name or the name of your company + all rights reserved / All Rights reserved.
7. Click on 'Step 3: Artwork'
4. Add the artwork
Drag the artwork file into Springcast PRO or browse through your files. Haven't created artwork yet? Then you can use the preset Springcast PRO artwork. Once the artwork is uploaded, click 'Create Show'.
5. Further customise your podcast show
Your show is now created and can be found in the overview under 'My Shows'.
Here you can click on 'Show Settings' to add more information, 'Embedded Player' to view your player, 'Statistics' for the statistics dashboard, 'Marketing' to set up your podcast website, and 'Branding' to set the colours of the embedded player and podcast website.
As long as you have not added episodes to the show, it will remain at 0%. Once you add episodes, the bar will show 100%. Curious how to add episodes to your podcast show? Then check out this article.
6. Changed settings? Always publish your changes
You can make changes to your show at any time. However, note that you must click 'Publish Changes' at show level to make the adjustments final.
Important: only people with a Publisher role can publish the changes. See also the article about roles within a workspace.
