Within Springcast PRO, you can give/take away people's ability to use certain functionalities.
You can do this under the ‘People & Access’ tab in the workspace.
We hereby distinguish between:
- Workspace
- Product
- PRO Level & Creative Suite Level
Workspace
The workspace roles operate at the highest level: within the entire workspace. The following roles are available:
- Finance: this role gives a person access to the administrative data of the workspace. This includes being able to view invoices, but also, for example, managing the subscription.
Product & rights at PRO Level
The product roles at PRO Level give a user rights within the podcast shows. The following roles are available:
- Team member: a team member can create, view and edit a podcast show. In addition, a team member can also invite other people. By default, a team member (same as editor and guest) cannot publish changes.*
- Editor: the editor can create, view and edit a podcast show, but cannot invite other people.
- Guest: a guest can only view a podcast show and/or episode. A guest cannot make changes.
*Under the ‘PRO Level’ tab, you can check the box ‘Is allowed to publish changes’. These rights allow a person to actually publish changes made within podcast shows. When you save a change, it is not immediately active. These changes must be published before they become visible on the podcast website, for example. By default, only a workspace owner has the option to publish changes.
Please note: team members and editors can create new podcast shows and episodes, but cannot publish them if they do not have the right to ‘Publish changes’.
Product & rights at Creative Suite Level
With subscriptions Team and Company, you also get access to the Creative Suite, which includes the feedback module. In the feedback module, we work with projects.
The product roles that you have set for the Workspace mean the following at Creative Suite level:
- Team member: a team member can view projects, post comments and approve versions. By default, a team member (same as editor and guest) cannot create projects.*
- Editor: the editor can view a project (provided they have access to this project) and post comments, but cannot approve versions.
- Guest: a guest can view a project (provided they have access to this project) and post comments, but cannot approve versions.
*Under the ‘Creative Suite Level’ tab, you can check the box ‘User can create new projects’. This gives a person the right to create a project in the Creative Suite feedback module.
Authorisations at show, project and episode level
Regardless of the role a person has within the product, you can also limit this person to a podcast show, project or episode. For example, you can give a person access to 1 specific podcast show or to 1 specific episode.
