Managing your podcast files can be a challenge when everything is spread across different drives and cloud storage. With the file manager in Springcast PRO, you have everything in one central place, directly linked to your podcast environment. This means less searching, less hassle, and more overview. Read in this article how to upload and organise files, such as audio files, artwork, trailers, and scripts.
Important: The file manager is available for users with a Team or Company subscription within Springcast PRO.
Opening the file manager
Each show in the workspace has its own file manager.
- Click on the show
- Click on 'Files & Media' (the file manager) in the left column
In the screen that opens you will see 'Files', 'Projects' and 'Trash'
Uploading and saving files
In 'Files' you can store all important documents. For example, upload the podcast artwork or episode scripts here.
Creating folders
You can create folders yourself to keep things organised.
- Right-click in the screen
- Choose 'Create new folder'
- Give the folder a colour and change the title
- Click create
Good to know:
- You can easily drag and drop files by holding the left mouse button pressed and dragging them to the desired folder.
- You can rename, delete or mark folders as favourite at any time. Click the three dots next to the folder name to do this.
Projects (feedback module)
If you have used the feedback module in the Creative Suite, you will find all projects under the 'Projects' folder. In those projects, you will also find the approved audio files.
Important: because these projects are created in the Creative Suite, it is not possible to delete projects or create new projects in the file manager.
Uploading files from the file manager
Both the files and files from projects can be uploaded directly from the file manager when you create a new episode within Springcast PRO.
