The success of your podcast is closely tied to how you share it on social media. With our new LinkedIn integration, we are bridging the gap between audio and social. Instead of just tracking downloads, you can now see the reach and engagement of your LinkedIn posts directly within your Springcast dashboard.
Why link LinkedIn to your statistics?
A podcast episode doesn't just live in the player; it lives in the conversations happening on LinkedIn. By linking your posts, you can see exactly which promotional efforts are most effective. This allows you to measure the full impact of your content strategy in one central location.
How to set it up
Follow these three steps to link your first post:
Step 1: Connect your LinkedIn account
Before we can retrieve data, Springcast needs permission to view your statistics.
Log in to Springcast Pro.
Go to Show settings.
Click on the Integrations tab.
Find LinkedIn in the list and click Connect. You can currently connect one account.
Step 2: Link your LinkedIn posts
Now that your account is connected, you can start tracking specific posts:
Navigate to your Statistics dashboard.
Open the 'Social' tab.
Click the 'Link Social' button. A window will appear where you can enter a URL.
Go to LinkedIn, find the post you want to track, and click the 'Share' button to copy the link.
Paste the URL into the input field in Springcast. We will verify the link and search for the post's unique ID in the background.
Click Save to complete the connection.
Note: We currently only support 'regular' LinkedIn posts (no articles or document shares).
Step 3: View your results
Once the post is linked, we get to work. Every morning around 06:00 AM, we retrieve the statistics for the previous day. This means your data will appear in your dashboard with a small delay, but with the precision you expect from us.
Important notes
Data Location: Statistics for your linked LinkedIn posts are currently only visible in the 'Social' tab of your statistics overview. We are working hard to bring this data to the main dashboard soon for a complete 360-degree overview.
Speed is key: We retrieve statistics on a daily basis. For the most accurate data, we recommend linking your post as soon as possible after publishing it on LinkedIn.
Supported Posts: Currently, only regular text, image, and video posts are supported.
Beta Period: The LinkedIn integration is currently in its Beta phase. This means the feature is free to use for now. Once the integration is officially launched, it will become part of a specific subscription plan or package.
